Feeling tired, stressed or simply need a boost? There is an essential oil to fix that feeling…If you have ever loved the scent of fresh flowers in spring and summer, then you have most certainly inhaled the aroma of the plant’s essential oils. These oils have been used for centuries for their amazing health benefits.
Essential oils have grown in popularity and are no longer exclusive to new-age spas and hip urban centres. Plant-derived, heavily distilled oils have long been a selling point of cosmetics and cleaning products, and new evidence shows that they're a powerful therapy when inhaled and used correctly.
Each plant's essence has a particular chemical composition that influences its scent, absorption, and effect. Essential oils are easily detected by smell receptors that are connected to the limbic system, which regulates heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, and tension. Essential oils, have a lot to offer, and no two oils are identical.
“Yes, aromatherapy can potentially be beneficial to your health. Consider using scents instead of pills to lift your mood and disperse any anxiety.”
There are a myriad of essential oils to choose from, so here's a rundown of those that may be used for mood-altering medication. Essential oils are a low-risk, low-cost, and an efficient treatment for symptom management. So grab a cuppa and decide which option is best for you....
Relationship's that are Toxic!
Whilst we are still living with the threat of an ongoing global pandemic regardless of restrictions being lifted or re-introduced, we are reminded of how tough this time has been for everyone. For most, losing face-to-face contact and connection with people and being thrown further into stressful and sometimes traumatic situations, has been worrying, frightening and even unbearable.
Whilst life tends to be more rewarding when shared. Despite this, no aspect of one’s own endeavour seems to be more riddled with problems and obstacles than our interpersonal relationships.
In the past year, I for one have benefited from the minimal interaction and have relished the opportunity to focus on my immediate "bubble." For the first time in a very long time, I’ve been able to re-evaluate my interactions with my family, friends and colleagues alike by identifying positive and negative effects on my health and wellbeing.
“Toxic relationships can be seen in all facets of everyday life, including the workplace and, sadly, our homes.”
Toxic by its very definition means poisonous.
Toxic relationship is a relationship characterized by behaviours. It is damaging to your mental health, to be in the presence of a friend or family member who is Toxic!
Teas with Benefits
Have you ever considered a relaxing cup of Chamomile or a revitalising cup of Peppermint tea? It's impossible to overlook the fact that a growing number of people are transitioning to caffeine-free teas to start and end their day with. Whilst, coffee can offer a regular boost of energy and focus throughout the day, tea offers unrivalled benefits and delivers an enticing dose of utopia in a cup.
“Consider this…., what warms you up on a chilly day? What gets you out of bed in the morning? What do you do to unwind after a busy day?
” Tea, tea, and more tea!" screams the nation in unison......
Whether you're steeping fresh leaves or trying one of the many organic tea varieties available at your local supermarket and health shop, there's nothing quite like a cup of your favourite herbal tea to appease the soul and give your mind and body a well-deserved respite.
The simple act of settling and enjoying a steaming cup, is something short of spiritual, ritualistic, relaxing and grounding for the soul. As if those perks didn’t offer enough incentive to sip; Tea contains antioxidants that gives tea its therapeutic benefits including a slew of wellness advantages, plus the ability to avoid infection, sustain a healthy weight, and ease discomfort.

Practice makes Progress....Think of a world where everything you attempted at first-hand, you were excellent at ….it would be super amazing, not to mention impressive, right?
Yoga is an activity that I wish I were better at. The rise of the “yogi insta famous!” encourages my innate competitiveness and has me striving to perfecting headstands and arm balances (not to mention, picking up the odd muscular strain), However, more so recently through regular practice, I’ve come to realise that this ancient discipline isn’t just about how well I can touch my toes, it’s about being present, regardless of my abilities, and giving it my all.
Unlike, some health and wellness fads, yoga has been around for thousands of years, but the incredible advantages still feel very new to me. I have always been quite an active person, so it has only been very recently that I’ve discovered how much more there is to yoga.

Energy Reserves to combat Stress.......
It can be confusing to feel insecure, frustrated, helpless or upset, so experts agree that arming yourself with the resources to handle those emotions is necessary. When you do not know how to calm yourself when you are provoked, you will be likely to become frustrated, angry and resentful, or fully withdraw from the situation, neither of these responses will motivate you or encourage you to acknowledge or take control. It's all about feeling assured that instead of sinking further into the abyss, or running away, we can calm our minds and find a way out of almost any emotional stress.
Most of us live on a day to day basis and are often isolated from ourselves and nature. Having a toolkit that helps when you are experiencing stress is crucial.

Boost your Skin's Vitality. The following simple health boosting anti-ageing tips can help to maintain and regain a sense of “You!”. STOP, the aggressive behaviour - Dragging and pulling roughly on your skin will influence your skin and causes irritability and redness. If you wear contact lenses, you might even be experiencing increased sagging around the eyes. Always apply skin products with a light touch, working the product from the centre of your face out. Don’t pull on your eyes unless necessary and try not to apply eyeliner by stretching the side of your eye.
Eating Healthily affects everything, including our skin. Foods containing antioxidants are truly influential for gaining healthy skin and are better described to help prevent free radicals from breaking down your skin’s collagen and elastin. CoolSculpting for Men.....Did you know, that last year alone just as many men as women underwent a Coolsculpting procedure for getting rid of stubborn areas of fat? During the past few years, we have seen the growing increase in popularity. The CoolSculpting procedure is based on the Cryolipolysis® technology, the CoolSculpting system safely delivers controlled cooling to specifically target fat cells. Typically, Men are prone to gain weight in the abdominal area where it settles around the stomach, flanks and lower back. For Men, the need for further forced physical exertion of an extreme work out seems like an endless and tiresome ordeal, the results are often out of reach and often are unattainable especially in particular areas of the body where the fat seems to be opposed to and impervious to all the effort and time we put into trying to shift unwanted chub at the gym. .
What to expect from a Coolsculpting Treatment....Did you know? When we lose weight, our fat cells reduce in size and become smaller, but the number of fat cells is the same. When we put on weight, those fat cells increase in size. What we know - CoolSculpting, in fact kills fat cells in the treated areas eliminating them for good. Did you know? CoolSculpting freezes and damages the fat cells in a targeted area during each treatment session. What we know - Once frozen, the fat cells are damaged by the cold temperature, they rupture and will be eliminated by your body’s own immune system. This is a process also known as “Apoptosis”.
Did You know? CoolSculpting is not ideal for everyone. What we know - The ideal candidates for CoolSculpting will have obvious pockets of fat in exact areas that they would like to get rid of.
